J.S.P.S Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Hyderabad was established in 1967 by Private Managements and subsequently was taken over by the Government in 1972 merging later in 1979. The College was named as Dr. Jaisoorya Potti Sree Ramulu Government Homoeopathic Medical College. Earlier Diploma course was conducted from 1967 to 1978 under the Board of Indian Medicines & Homoeopathy. In 1979, the degree i.e., M.B.S (Homeo.) started and affiliated to the Osmania University.
It’s a great feeling of joy, exhilaration and nostalgic to even have the thought of meeting one another after a gap of several years. Our College, Jaisurya Potti Sreeramulu Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College, Hyderabad is very proud to have its students spreading across the globe serving different people in different walks of life , besides Homoeopathy.
At this juncture, it’s our prime duty to refresh our memory regarding our College. JSPS was started in 1967 as two different institutes and later merged into one in 1979. First they were started by private organizations and later taken over by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in 1972. The College has seen many upheavals in its journey while striving hard to produce well qualified Graduates & Post Graduates to serve the society. The DHMS course was changed into MBS/BHMS degree course in 1979. MD (Homeo) course in 3 branches was started in 1998. The addition of (4) new branches in PG is just awaited.
60 Graduation seats & 18 PG seats are filled by an entrance exam conducted by the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. So far 10 batches of Diploma, 30 batches of Graduation and 12 batches of Post-graduation have completed their study in this prestigious institute.
